It Was a Monster
04:36

The seas they bubbled
and rolled along
the sun it never
seemed to fall
been out for days
among the waves
been seachin for
that distant shore
when out of the sea
there came a dream
of desolation
ahead of me
too far gone
we cant turn back
so we sailed ahead
straight on tack
suddenly the sun was gone
not to bring another dawn
the darkness surrounds us
theres no escape
my only light
was your face
so we drove forward
still on task
looking for love
to avenge the past
a light awoke
upon the horizon
thought we were free
just you and me
as we approached
it danced as well
among the waves
moved with the swell
it was a monster
too late to tell
it jumped from the sea (pause)
and brought us to hell
suddenly the sun was gone
not to bring another dawn
the darkness surrounds us
theres no escape
my only light
was your face

Imaginary Scars
03:29
|

We'd rode a long ways and got here yesterday
Thought wed never make it to the bay
Our minds arace with evil thoughts
Running away with our hearts
So here we are sittin around
trying to fight the stars
They hadnt caused any harm
We were just removin imaginary scars
Doomed to fight forever more
What we didnt understand
But couldnt ignore
The place wed escaped
Wasnt the problem
Instead our hearts empty to the bottom
So here we are sittin around
trying to fight the stars
They hadnt caused us any harm
We were just removin imaginary scars
The children around us danced with joy
Grasping at imaginary toys
Theyd been taught to reach for the stars
Their reasoning was quite different from ours
So here we are sittin around
trying to fight the stars
They hadnt caused us any harm
We were just removing imaginary scars
